About Bianca Pepin

Hi, I’m Bianca and I was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec. I’m a proud daughter, sister, and mom to the cutest Labrador. I have always loved art, design, and making things. I’m now studying Graphic and Web Design at John Abbott College. I’m learning more about graphic design, web design, branding, and visual design. My goal is to become an a great Montreal graphic designer.

But my love for design started many years ago.

My Creative Journey

I have always loved to draw.

As a young girl, I spent hours drawing in my school notebooks. I also took art classes in high school. Art was always a big part of my life.

After high school, I studied Visual Arts at John Abbott College. I learned about art, colors, shapes, and many ways to create. Ultimately, I enjoyed trying new tools and working with my hands.

I also loved computers and tech. I wanted to bring art and tech together. This led me to Concordia University. I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on Film Animation. At Concordia, I learned about animation, digital art, film, and visual stories. I learned how to turn ideas into images and stories.

But I wanted to use my skills in a new way.

From Fine Art to Graphic and Web Design

I wanted to work on real projects and to work with clients and help bring their ideas to life. That’s what led me to study Graphic and Web Design at John Abbott College.

This program has taught me many new skills.

I’m learning how to design for both print and web. As well as learning how to work with clients. I’m learning how to ask the right questions, find good ideas, and solve design problems.

Before this program, I had never done web design and I soon found out that I really enjoy it. I like that web design lets me mix art and tech. I can use my creative skills while also thinking about how people use a website.

Today, I enjoy using art, tech, and clear ideas to make useful designs.

What I Do as a Graphic Designer

My portfolio shows who I am as a designer and what I can create.

I work in many areas of design, including:

  • Graphic design
  • Web design
  • Branding and visual identity
  • Print design
  • Digital design
  • Icon design
  • Illustration
  • Visual communication

I enjoy working on different types of projects instead of focusing on only one area. Each project gives me a chance to solve a new problem, learn something new, and improve my skills.

I believe this wide range of experience will help me become a strong graphic designer in Montreal.

My Approach to Design

I believe good design should do more than look good. It should have a clear goal, share an idea, fit the person or business behind it and also speak to the right people.

When I work on a logo, brand, website, or print piece, I think about both the look and the goal. I want my clients to be proud of their designs. I want them to feel good when they share their work with others.

My goal is simple.

I want to be a designer people can trust with their ideas.

Growing as a Graphic Designer

I have about a year and a half left in my Graphic and Web Design program at John Abbott College.

In my last term, I’ll take part in a three-week internship. I’m excited about this chance to work with a real team and learn from other designers. To see how design teams work and learn new skills and find new ways to improve my work.

I also want to gain real work skills.

Most of all, I want to help.

I may still be a student, but I bring a lot to every project. I’m creative, hard-working, eager to learn, I care about my work and am always try to do better.

Why Work With Me?

Creativity has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.

It started with drawings in my school notebooks. Then came art classes, Visual Arts, and my studies in Film Animation. Each step helped me grow.

Now, I have found my path in graphic and web design.

I want to use my art skills and tech skills to help people and businesses bring their ideas to life. I care about my work and my clients and most of all I care about learning and growing.

Of course, I’m still growing as a designer, but I bring passion, care, and a love for what I do.

This is my portfolio.

This is my journey to becoming a Montreal graphic designer.

I hope I get the chance to create something great with you.
